Monkey puzzle or puzzled monkey?

I thought I would get back to the important business of play this afternoon and spent some time looking at the flickr tools like fd’s Flickr Toys. At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to get any of my pictures to load. Foolish me, it took me forever to realize that all I needed to do was use the Create button.

Here’s my lovely monkey puzzle courtesy of Jigsaw.

Happy with my books

(BTW, I highly recommend all of these old favorites.)

Flickring Monkeys

Still running behind, but at least still running.

The new challenge is to learn about flickr and post an interesting image. You’ll find there are a lot of monkeys out there, but I have to say this picture intrigues me the most. What did the monkeys do to deserve such cruel treatment? As one commentor says, “Well, I will not be going there then”

Off to a slow start

webmonkey

So it sounds like fun, and a monkey is always curious, but somehow the best of intentions – and company, and holidays, and other happy interruptions find me here, weeks late, finally trying to get my blog started.

The impetus for this blog is Library 2.0, a program to teach library staff several new technological skills. (http://acl20.wordpress.com/) if you’ve got to know more.

We are asked to respond to presentation on the 7 and 1/2 lifelong learning habits and declare which are easiest, which hardest. Play is in my nature and I would say I don’t need to plan for it. Except, honestly, I tend to get bogged down with details. Doesn’t hurt to be reminded to Have Fun! What’s hardest? Goal setting. There is so much a little monkey wants to master. It is hard to pick a goal. Pick one and you miss another? Pick them all and you might achieve none.
